Kanto is a simple, weighty coffee table developed through the transformation of my earlier conceptual piece Handhaven. While Handhaven explored form more abstractly, I later chose to adapt its core idea into an object suitable for daily use. I introduced four solid, substantial legs that ground the design and give it a functional presence. Crafted entirely from wood, the table retains the sculptural spirit of the original concept while evolving into a practical piece for everyday living.
